A new announcement tied to Record Store Day is giving Elton John fans another way to hear a fresh set of dance remixes. Positiva Presents: Elton John – The Remixes is set for a limited glow-in-the-dark vinyl release on April 18, with a digital edition scheduled to follow on April 19.
The release details place the project squarely in the Record Store Day spotlight, while also opening it up to listeners who may not be able to find a physical copy. The collection was curated by Elton John and centers on club-ready versions of songs from different eras of his catalog.
Among the tracks included are remixes of Cold Heart, his hit with Dua Lipa, and Hold Me Closer, his collaboration with Britney Spears. The set also features reworked versions of Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, Rocket Man, Philadelphia Freedom and I Don’t Wanna Go On With You Like That.
Some of the remixes have not previously been available on streaming services, which gives the digital release added appeal for longtime fans and collectors alike.
